Emanuela Tarizzo racconta la sua Frieze Masters

In an interview with AD Italia, Emanuela Tarizzo, director of Frieze Masters, shares her vision for the 2026 edition of the fair, taking place in London from October 14–18. Bringing together 142 galleries from 33 countries, Frieze Masters explores the connections between artistic periods, cultures, and geographies, challenging Eurocentric narratives and expanding the way art history is understood. The interview highlights this year’s curated sections, including Spotlight, which brings renewed attention to underrecognized artists, and Queering Modernism: Visual Languages of the 20th Century, curated by Anke Kempkes, which explores queer experiences and LGBTQIA+ representation in modern and postwar art. Among the artists featured in this section is Luis Fernando Zapata, whose work contributes to a broader reflection on desire, the body, and self-representation.
