With a recurring language based on organic forms that align with the landscape designs of Roberto Burle Marx or in general with forms that resemble "amoebas" or "kidneys" typical of modernism, which from the paintings and reliefs of Arp to the chimneys of Le Corbusier and Celis's compositions dominate the stylistic repertoire typical of an extended modernity, Lucio Celis produced an extensive series of collages made with clippings from architecture magazines of the 50s, 60s and 70s. One of the most used magazines, and where the The name of the series is Eternit's AC magazine dedicated to asbestos cement. For Celis, these exercises in precise and sensitive composition, colorful and pictorial, full of images of buildings from his time, contrast with the contaminated content of the magazine, the asbestos-cement propaganda. Celis was one of the pioneers within the architects' guild in being against the exploitation and use of this material in architecture.
