Curated by Mónica Ashida, the exhibition reviews the sharp vision of Carlos Ashida, an indispensable figure in developing the contemporary art scene in Mexico.
Carlos Ashida worked as a curator, museographer, and cultural promoter both in his native Guadalajara and in Mexico City. He knew how to anticipate the emergence of new artistic stories that were prefigured almost simultaneously in the Guadalajara environment and the country's capital in the last two decades of the previous century and the first of the 21st century. The synergy he maintained between both fields marked a milestone in national and international art history.
