"¿Que tipo de primavera es esta, en donde no hay flóres y el aire está viciado con un aroma miserable?" is the title of the site-specific project created for the 14th Havana Biennial by artist Joaquín Segura.
"This project is a specific proposal to occupy the central space of one of the naves of Line and 18. It takes its title from a poem written in Pashto by Shaikh Abdurraheem Muslim Dost, a Pakistani poet and essayist imprisoned in 2001, released in 2005 and disappeared in 2006. The number of water containers in the installation corresponds directly to the symbolic presence within the space of the number of political prisoners currently held at the Guantanamo Bay Detention Center." ⠀
