The Alejandría Art Prize is the successor to the Mesoamerica Art Prize, which was created in 2015 and which has awarded artists Clemencia Echeverri, Jose Alejandro Restrepo, Pedro Gómez Egaña, Nicolás París, and Noemí Pérez in previous editions. Award Sponsor Alexandria is an ecosystem builder, driven by the purpose of building an educated, connected and empowered society; over the years it has become an ally for global leaders and entrepreneurs whose purpose is to generate a change in the traditional way of doing business and to understand the interdependence of the different cultural actors in the 21st century world. Alejandría was born from the intersection of two concepts that, for its founder, Luis Javier Castro, are essential to build a successful society in the long term: conscious capitalism as a force for creating value and well-being, and exponentiality.
