Proyectos Monclova is proud to present “From Aion to Cronos: The Work of Ernesto Briel,” an exhibition that celebrates the life and legacy of the Cuban painter, set designer and producer, pioneer of Op Art, and founder of the Cuban Optical Art Group.
The exhibition consists of works made by the artist Ernesto Briel during his stay in Cuba in the 1960s and 1970s, mainly drawings that give historical continuity to geometric abstraction, kinetic art, and Op Art, as well as paintings made during his exile in the United States in the eighties and early nineties of the twentieth century.
