DC Foundation presents Francisco Arévalo, as the speaker for the second lecture of the educational program of DC Foundation. Arévalo is a physician by trade who has dedicated over two decades to the art world, advising prominent international private and institutional collections focused on Latin American modern and contemporary art. His curatorial endeavors have produced numerous international exhibits around the world.
His work as an editor and publisher includes numerous collaborative publications and comprehensive monographic books of artists such as Ernesto Briel, Jorge Riveros, Ernesto Leal, and Federico Ovalles, the latter in collaboration with the DC Foundation and Concrete Cuba in collaboration with David Zwirner Gallery. He’s currently the artistic director of Galería Elvira Moreno in Bogotá, Colombia.
His lecture, “Reflections on Abstraction: The Invisible Pulse of Modern Art”, will be held on Wednesday, September 11, at 6:30 p.m., at the foundation residency in Coral Gables.
