Samuel Sarmiento has been selected as an artist-in-residence at the European Ceramic Work Centre (EKWC) in Oisterwijk, the Netherlands. The residency started on March 7 and will run until May 29, 2024.
EKWC was established in 1969 and has allowed artists from every field to develop research, experiment with new techniques, and prearrange work plans to their fullest potential. The Centre has hosted recognized artists such as Tony Cragg, Anish Kapoor, David Zink-Yi, Antony Gormley, Betty Woodman, and many others.
We celebrate Samuel's participation in this residency, during which he will focus on making ceramic murals and experimenting with new mediums.
