In collaboration with our gallery's director, Elvira Moreno, Francisco Arévalo, and Alonso Garcés, the exhibition "Luis Caballero: A Deliberate Defiance" was exhibited on January 9, 2024, at Cecilia Brunson Projects, London.
This exhibition of six works by Luis Caballero intends to revisit the works that in the 80s and 90s were essential in New York auctions. Still, Caballero was displaced due to the arrival of conceptual art and minimalism.
It highlights that the curator Daniel Malarkey uses the work of Luis Caballero as a reference for a time in which the body, violence, desire, the ambivalent, religion, and the baroque were present.
