Antonio Pichillá and Samuel Sarmiento's participate in the ‘Myth Makers’ exhibit at Hatch Gallery from April 6 to 10, 2024 during the iconic Milan’s Art Week. Under Barbara Newman's curatorial vision, the exhibit presents an invitation to celebrate the distinctive character of different identities that weave meaning to the idea of cultural myth.
Sarmiento's selected pieces carry a narrative true to his investigation of historical events inherent to human survival. In his chosen artworks, Sarmiento depicts the mythical order of events in Earth’s creation, alluding to specific narratives about the interactions between God, animals, plants, and humankind during its genesis.
