Paula Zegers (Santiago de Chile, 1963)
By superimposing monochromatic tones, Zegers expresses her deep interest in investigating the transcendence of luminosity and darkness aspects of the human spirit, dispensing works with a distinguished and sober economy and precision. Her artistic trajectory has thematically evolved from figuration to abstraction and elemental language, establishing visual dialogues in the uncharted territories of light and shadow. Through her practice, which varies between textile compositions, installations, and Land Art, Zegers explores themes such as memory, craft, the organic, nature, ancestral cultural heritage, and contemporary artisanal labor.
