Eduardo Terrazas (Guadalajara, Jalisco, 1936) is a Mexican creator who has been interested in looking at and thinking about the world he walks through. For more than forty years he has worked in a range of disciplines to understand and reflect on changing reality, always proposing other ways of living and being, other ways of relating, other ways of looking.
Terrazas was inspired by mathematical, scientific and metaphysical components to create his works, which capture through colors, planes, lines and shapes the complexities of the universe in which we live. Each of the simple geometric figures that Terrazas has used in his images correspond to a different building block of the cosmos.
Terrazas was the creator of the image identity of the Olympic Games in Mexico in 1968. He has had individual exhibitions at the Museo del Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City and at the Frieze in London, as well as group exhibitions at the MOMA in New York and countries such as France, Denmark, Germany, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, among others.
