Liz Callejas, born in Bogotá-Colombia in 1983, is an artist whose work explores the infinite mutations of the body in movement, based on a sustained dialogue with the visual arts and technology. Trained as a dancer and graphic designer between schools in Buenos Aires and Colombia, Liz developed an independent career hybridizing different media, including performance, digital art, dance, and sound and video installation. In her performances, the body expands as in a physical laboratory investigating new codes of creativity, thus redefining formulas of perception, corporal expression, and its relations with space. Her practice arises in novel corporeal, philosophical, plastic, and visual approaches, which constitute, at the same time, an encounter with memory.
