Anita Payró was an Argentine painter trained in Brussels, where she came into contact with the European avant-garde. Granddaughter of writer Roberto J. Payró and sister of art critic and historian Julio Payró, she developed a body of work focused on geometric abstraction and the exploration of color, oering a unique perspective on the dialogue between European modernity and Latin American sensibility. Although relatively scarce on the market, her work has been recognized for its formal rigor and its contribution to the development of abstraction in Argentina.
