Julia Bejarano López (Bogotá, Colombia,1991).
The sound is the primary material she works with throughout her artistic practice. She has a strong interest in direct and physical engagement with sound-producing objects and their behavior in specific spaces, in the act of listening and recording the unique sonic qualities of particular places, and in the soundscapes of the inhabited world. She is interested in generating poetic listening experiences, understanding listening as a form of knowledge and creation. Expanding the limits of sound perception is her central search, building sensitive experiences and poetic objects that he configures thanks to an intense exploration of her own auralisation. Likewise, she has explored other materials and practices such as writing, photography, drawing, and the creation of imaginary and poetic objects, people, and situations.
