Since its inception, its director, Elvira Moreno, has led a rigorous, multidisciplinary, and inclusive approach with a primary mission to foster a consistent and lasting artistic dialogue through a diverse, thoughtful, and all-encompassing approach underpinned by thorough research. This has led to the discovery of 20th-century systematically marginalized artists’ legacies and new languages in contemporaneity, thus leading to a comprehensive and broader understanding of Latin American Art.
